🌿 Village Check-In: What’s Happening at Swanson Family Academy? 🌿
Hello Village Family,
We wanted to take a moment to check in and share some exciting updates about what’s happening at Swanson Family Academy.
🌟 Youth Leadership Academy
Our Youth Leadership Academy has officially launched, and we are incredibly proud of our youth. Over the past few weeks, participants have been building confidence, setting goals, discussing healthy relationships, exploring leadership, and preparing for their futures through mentorship and meaningful conversations.
This Saturday, we will celebrate our Spring Cohort with an end-of-cohort gathering at Lucky Strike. We are excited to continue supporting these young leaders throughout the year through mentorship, leadership experiences, and future opportunities.
📚 Village Learning Lab
We are preparing to launch the Village Learning Lab, an educational enrichment program designed to provide youth with engaging academic support, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities to explore their interests in a fun and supportive environment.
More information is coming soon, and we cannot wait to share what we have planned.
🎭 Experiential Learning Partnership
We are also excited about our continued experiential learning partnership with Friendship Public Charter School. Through arts integration, creativity, literacy, and hands-on learning experiences, we are helping students connect learning to the real world in meaningful ways.
🎒 Back-to-School Drive
Our annual Back-to-School Drive is underway, and we are currently accepting donations to help provide students and families with the supplies they need for a successful school year.
We are collecting:
• Backpacks
• Notebooks
• Folders
• Pencils and pens
• Crayons and markers
• Other school supplies
