As we move into summer, we want to hear from our village.

What is one goal you have for yourself or your family this summer?

Whether it’s saving money, learning a new skill, reading more, spending quality time with family, improving your health, or simply finding more balance, we would love to hear it.

We also want to encourage our youth and families to make this a summer of growth. Visit a museum. Read a new book. Learn a trade. Explore a new hobby. Volunteer. Take a class. Challenge yourself to learn something new.

We are excited to share that Village Learning Lab launches next week! 🎉

Village Learning Lab will provide opportunities for youth and families to build literacy, technology, leadership, workforce readiness, financial literacy, and life skills together.

As the school year comes to a close, we want to hear from you!

As you head into summer, remember this:

This past Saturday, Swanson Family Academy celebrated the completion of our six week Youth Leadership Academy cohort with an end of cohort experience at Lucky Strike.

Our youth spent six weeks building confidence, strengthening communication, setting goals, discussing relationships, exploring entrepreneurship, preparing for their futures, and learning what it means to be supported by a village. We closed the cohort with bowling, food, laughter, and fellowship.

We are proud of the entire cohort for their participation, growth, and commitment. This is what it means to Bring Back the Village. The program may have ended, but the relationships, mentorship, and support will continue. We remain committed to showing up for our young people, connecting them to opportunities, and reminding them that they do not have to navigate life alone.

We had an amazing time celebrating the completion of our six week Youth Leadership Academy cohort at Lucky Strike this past Saturday. The bowling, food, laughter, and energy made it the perfect way to close out such a meaningful experience.

A special shout out to the entire cohort for showing up, participating, growing, and building community throughout these six weeks. We are also proud of our Youth Leader Ambassador for helping support the group and model leadership.

Although the cohort has ended, the mentorship does not stop here. We are still a family, and I am still here to support, encourage, guide, and mentor each of you. Continue posting in the group, communicating with one another, sharing opportunities, and supporting each other. This is not goodbye, this is the continuation of the village.

We wanted to take a moment to check in and share some exciting updates about what’s happening at Swanson Family Academy.

🌟 Youth Leadership Academy

Our Youth Leadership Academy has officially launched, and we are incredibly proud of our youth. Over the past few weeks, participants have been building confidence, setting goals, discussing healthy relationships, exploring leadership, and preparing for their futures through mentorship and meaningful conversations.

This Saturday, we will celebrate our Spring Cohort with an end-of-cohort gathering at Lucky Strike. We are excited to continue supporting these young leaders throughout the year through mentorship, leadership experiences, and future opportunities.
